John Taylor Dismukes & Associates is a full-service illustration and design studio, based in southern California.
Our award-winning team of artists and creative professionals are dedicated to providing our clients with outstanding work that is on time and on budget. Our clients include some of the world’s leading agencies, motion picture studios, gaming companies, and national brands.
A graduate of the Art Center College of Design, John began his career as an illustrator in Hollywood, CA for clients in the music and entertainment industries. His original airbrush paintings have graced the covers of numerous albums for rock legends such as The Grateful Dead, Megadeath, Foreigner, and Steppenwolf. Other early works include posters for Star Wars, Mad Max, The Addams Family, Jurassic Park, and many other blockbuster films.
John established JTD & Associates in 1985, just as computer technology was beginning to transform the industry. A pioneer of digital imaging techniques, John has been featured in numerous industry publications, and has been a featured contributor to several instructional books.
The studio creates original artwork using a wide variety of techniques and styles to suit clients in nearly every industry, but we strive to maintain our Hollywood roots and the quality of work that they are known for.
